If I could give 6 stars it would still be too few!  Morgan provided me the perfect training experience.  His vast knowledge and long history in the sport put me at ease every step of the way!  From figuring out what equipment to purchase to the actual in-depth training itself.  I really feel like I'm a part of his para family now and it feels great knowing I can continue to reach out to him for help or advise. I attended Morgan's paramotor course in October 2022. The value and focus on personal instruction are beyond reproach. Morgan is a certified instructor and a seasoned professional who will teach you correctly and safely how to begin this daunting, exhilarating, and rewarding sport. Classes are typically 10 days (straight through), and class sizes are limited to 3-4 students max....so you are receiving fantastic personalized attention every day, every session. Morgan will teach you all the safe techniques and will not push you too fast or too soon until you are ready. Our fall class only had 2 students and we progressed quickly but safely. We were ready for first flights by Day 4, but everyone learns differently. In less than 10 days, I went from knowing very little about wing inflation and safe flight to being confident in my new ability to kite, takeoff, and land safely using good technique. There is a considerable learning curve (and resulting rewarding feeling) to getting over the hump of learning this activity and having it all come together and leaving the ground safely for the first time. Morgan will get you there safely, with confidence, and will have you progress as you're ready. He is a world-class instructor and leaves nothing out. This class is more like being taught by a friend who takes the sport and its safety seriously and knows what he is doing. Now for the extended value....you aren't just paying for a 10-day course. Morgan's advice and recommendations start way before the class begins and continue for as long as you need them. Morgan makes himself available to text or chat with his students indefinitely to help them progress as safe, competent paramotor pilots. Service after the sale is exemplary, Morgan is dedicated to helping his students make this a safe and exciting lifelong hobby. And his alumni have an open invitation to return to Bend, OR at any time down the road for further guidance and practice. You become a Ryze member for life, not just a student for 10 days. This class is by far the best value and best instruction you'll find in the Western US, with a perfect balance of friendliness, safety, professionalism, and personalized attention. The actual flight instruction area is in LaPine, OR, so class students can benefit from planning to camp (boondock - no facilities) at the actual flight site (it's on state land) or a nearby RV site. There is an RV park within 5 minutes of the flight area. Otherwise, lodging in Bend for the duration is also a good way to go (South Bend for closer proximity to your flight area). I recently finished a 10 day paramotor course with Morgan, the owner of Ryze Paramotors. Morgan is an excellent instructor who perfectly balances safety and fun. But Morgan is more than a competent instructor, he's funny, friendly, and fun to hangout with. I went into the course with no paramotor knowledge or experience and came out confident in my ability to fly on my own.

I came from the skydiving world and had heard ram air canopy experience could cause problems for paramotor pilots. Morgan explained what would be different and helped me practice on the ground and in a simulator. My first flight was fantastic, and once I had adjusted to the differences, I found that the previous canopy experience was an asset rather than a liability.

Just finished a 10 day training program with Ryze Paramotor. Morgan is an outstanding instructor and his training program is comprehensive with all necessary steps taken to create a safe and fun learning environment. Over the past weeks I've gone from zero experience, to being fully able to fly.  No training was rushed and all details were explained in an efficient and respectful demeanor.
